💡 Vendor Tips — Inventory Planning
  • The 20% buffer is your friend. Running out of a popular item mid-day is lost revenue. The buffer accounts for unexpected demand spikes.
  • Bring more of your cheapest items. Stickers and small prints sell faster than large prints or keychains. Weight your mix toward high-velocity low-cost items.
  • Track what sells out vs. what comes home. After every con, note which products you ran out of and which you brought too much of. Adjust your mix for the next event.
  • Don't forget display capacity. There's no point bringing 200 prints if your grid wall only holds 40. Match inventory to what you can actually display at once.
