💡 Vendor Tips — Comparing Conventions
- Travel cost is the great equalizer. A convention twice the size isn't worth it if travel and hotel costs eat the difference in projected revenue.
- Genre match matters. A 30,000 person gaming con may convert worse for anime art than a 10,000 person anime-specific event. Attendance alone doesn't tell the full story.
- Consider the table competition. A con with 20 artist alley tables gives you far more relative visibility than one with 200. Check the alley size before committing.
- Factor in your time. A weekend trip to a distant convention costs you two travel days on top of the event itself. That's time you're not working on other revenue.
